Websites

You get a finished site that feels like you. You can keep it without me.

I make websites for small businesses, artists, authors, and people who need a site built for their business. Not a theme you fight. Not a monthly retainer.

We write the words together, in a short organized pass—not a month of revisions. You edit the site later in Sanity, or another CMS of your choice. When we launch, the site is yours. I am optional after that.

What happens

  1. Before

Intake: who you are, what problem the site should solve, what done looks like

A short written brief — the job the site has to do, pages, tone, and what we will not build

  2. Build

We write together, then I ship the site

A live site that feels like you. As little as 3 weeks

  3. Handoff

How to edit your site, what to do when you want a change

You can keep it. I am optional.

Questions

Who is this for?

You need a real site, not a social profile. You do not need a polished brief. Figuring out what the site should solve for your work is part of what I do.

What do I actually get?

The live site, the copy we wrote, and Sanity set up so you can edit pages yourself. I keep the writing organized so we are not trading drafts forever.

How long does it take?

As little as 3 weeks. Most of that is the writing pass and your feedback.

How will we work together?

A short intake call to nail the brief, or in person if you are in the NY Metro area. Then a few focused writing sessions, usually over video, while I build between them.

Do you work in WordPress? Can you build a shop?

No WordPress. I will not build a custom store from scratch. Shopify is fine if you need that. I can do basic SEO if you want it. I will not sell you an SEO retainer.

Is this site mine?

Yes. When we launch, the site is yours. You edit text and pages in Sanity. No code. Handoff includes a walkthrough so you are not guessing.

How much does it cost?

Usually $2,500–$6,000 for a typical site. It can vary with how many pages, how much we write together, and whether we are replacing something messy.

How do we start?

Message me on LinkedIn with a link to anything you have now (even if you hate it) and whatever you can say about what is not working. We’ll see if it’s a fit.
